Projects

A strength of Guild is the versatility of services and supports that are offered to organisations and business. Some of the recent projects we have been involved in are presented below.

Developing Strategic Partnerships

Working in partnership with a regional sports organisation, we supported the team to develop strategic partnerships across local government and health. We facilitated discussions, explored and identified opportunities and developed relationship agreements, action plans, performance measures and procedures for monitoring and evaluating the success of the relationships. The strategic partnerships are supporting a transformation of the relationships between the agencies, and delivering improved outcomes for community.

Research and Consultation

Delivering on behalf of The Bishops Action Foundation, in partnership with The Office of the Children's Commissioner and Philanthropy New Zealand this project required research about child and youth wellbeing in Taranaki, the design and management of stakeholder engagement (survey and key informant interviews),and  the analysis and interpretation of data. The output of this project was the production of a comprehensive report, which highlighted insights about the wellbeing of Taranaki’s young people and the identification of opportunities for action.

Business Planning

Supporting a private health care provider to develop a feasibility study and business plan for business expansion. The processes that supported the plan included research about the demography of the area and the potential client market, an analysis of the existing market sector and the scope for the business to move into a new area of delivery, identification and assessment of a range of compliance and regulatory issues, financial and cost analyses.

Strategy and Policy Development

Enabling a social services provider to realise their dreams to expand their services, we have supported the organisation with a range of holistic services - review of existing strategic plans, the development of new service plans, the design of evaluation and monitoring frameworks, review of policy and procedures, and the production and submission of significant applications for financial support. Working alongside the team was an important requisite to understand the business, their aims, and to able to translate their visions into something measurable, tangible and achievable. There was also a need to work to a short timeframe to meet deadlines for funding applications, and to provide cost effective services and agile solutions.
